Gutter Guards Shouldn’t Mean No Christmas Lights.
If you’ve ever stood on a ladder trying to jam a plastic clip under a LeafFilter-style guard, you already know the problem: ordinary light clips need an open gutter lip, and guards cover it. The Allyix Stainless Steel Gutter Clips fix that with a stepped hook that drops through the holes of a perforated or mesh guard, catches the gutter’s front lip, and leaves a smooth curled loop below for your light wire. Rust-proof, tool-free, and reusable year after year – in packs of 70 or 130.
A Clip Built Around the Guard, Not Against It

What Makes It Different
- Stepped upper arm passes through round, slotted, square or mesh guard openings and hooks the gutter lip from inside
- Curled lower loop cradles the light wire – no sharp cut end to nick insulation or fingers
- 2 mm stainless steel wire – won’t rust, won’t go brittle in the cold, springs back instead of snapping like plastic
- 2.4 × 1.8 in (6 × 4.5 cm) – big enough to clear a guard, small enough to disappear behind the bulbs
- Holds C7 / C9, G40 bistro, mini, icicle and rope lights – anything with a wire you can lay in the loop
Why Homeowners Switch From Plastic Clips
Fits Gutter Guards
Perforated aluminum, micro-mesh, slotted, square-grid – if there’s an opening, the hook goes through it. No more skipping the front of the house.
Stainless, Not Painted Steel
Painted or zinc hooks streak rust down white gutters by January. Stainless stays bright through snow, sleet and coastal air.
Curled Tip, Not a Cut Edge
The wire ends are rolled, so you can install with bare hands and the clip won’t scratch the gutter’s finish.
Buy Once, Use Every Year
Leave them on the gutter all year or pull them in 10 minutes and toss them in the storage bin – they’ll be the same shape next November.
Install in Seconds – No Tools

Spacing Guide
| Light type | Suggested clip spacing | 70 clips cover | 130 clips cover |
|---|---|---|---|
| C7 / C9 bulb strings (12-in bulb spacing) | Every bulb – 12 in | ≈ 70 ft | ≈ 130 ft |
| G40 / bistro bulb strings | Every bulb or every other – 12–24 in | 70–140 ft | 130–260 ft |
| Mini lights & icicle lights | Every 18–24 in | 105–140 ft | 195–260 ft |
| Rope light | Every 12–18 in | 70–105 ft | 130–195 ft |
Tip: measure your gutter run with a tape or count the bulbs on your strings. Round up – a few spare clips are cheaper than a second trip up the ladder.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will these work with my LeafFilter / micro-mesh gutter guards?
Yes – that’s what they’re designed for. The upper arm is thin enough to pass between the strands of micro-mesh and through the holes of perforated aluminum guards, then it hooks the gutter’s front lip underneath. See the guard-type photo above: round holes, slotted holes, square holes and mesh are all shown.
Do I need gutter guards to use them?
They’re made for guarded gutters. The hook will catch the lip of some open gutters too, but if none of your gutters have guards you’ll get a more secure fit from a standard gutter clip.
What lights fit in the loop?
Any string with a wire you can lay into the curled loop: C7 and C9 bulb strings, G40 bistro strings, mini lights, icicle lights and rope light. Bulbs hang below the clip, so keep the wire – not the socket – in the loop.
Will they rust or leave marks on my gutters?
No. They’re stainless steel, not painted or zinc-plated, so there’s no coating to chip and no rust streaks down white gutters. The wire ends are rolled, so they don’t scratch the finish going on or coming off.
Can I leave them up year-round?
Yes. Many customers leave the clips on the gutter permanently and just swap the lights each season. Stainless handles sun, rain, snow and coastal air without changing.
How many clips do I need?
Measure your gutter run and divide by your spacing: one clip per bulb for C9 strings (usually every 12 in), every 18–24 in for mini and icicle lights. A 50-ft front roofline needs about 50 clips at 12-in spacing – the 70-pack covers it with spares; a full perimeter usually needs the 130-pack.
Are they the same clip in both packs?
Yes – identical 2.4 × 1.8 in stainless clips, just 70 or 130 of them. The 130-pack works out cheaper per clip.
