Frequently Asked Questions
How many people can play?
The box has 25 game cards, so up to 25 individual hunters – or split a bigger group into teams sharing a card. For a large classroom, run two rounds and re-hide the turkeys in between.
Is it too easy for adults?
That’s up to the hider. Put turkeys under the rim of a lampshade, inside the fruit bowl, on the back of a door or on the ceiling fan and even competitive adults will be stumped. Mix heights and rooms for a real challenge.
Can the turkeys be reused?
Yes. If players simply count turkeys instead of collecting them, you can leave everything in place for the next group. Removed turkeys can be re-stuck with a fresh glue dot – 60 dots gives you plenty of spares.
Will the glue dots damage my walls?
The clear glue dots are the removable, low-tack type used for craft and party decorating. They hold paper firmly on painted walls, wood, glass and cabinets and peel off cleanly when removed slowly. As with any adhesive, test first on wallpaper, matte or freshly painted surfaces.
What do the game cards say?
Each card has a short rhyme: “The Thanksgiving turkeys are on the run… These turkeys are sneaky, so look all around. Whoever finds the most turkeys wins a prize!” – plus TOTAL and NAME lines for scoring.
Is it suitable for a preschool class?
Yes – it’s one of the most popular uses. Hide turkeys at kid height, let the children count as they find them, and use the medals for “most turkeys,” “best team player” and “sneakiest spotter” so more than one child goes home a winner.
Do I need to buy anything else?
Only pens or pencils for the score cards. Everything else – turkeys, cards, glue dots and medals – is included.
