Custom-Length Christmas Light Runs. No More Tangled Extension Cords.
Off-the-shelf extension cords are never the right length – and they’re usually orange. The Allyix 50 ft SPT-1 Christmas Light Wire Kit gives you 50 feet of green 18-gauge, 2-conductor lamp wire plus 3 male and 3 female vampire plugs, so you can cut every run to the exact length you need and snap a plug on the end in seconds – no stripping, no soldering, no tools. Add the included hook-and-loop strap and the whole kit stores flat until next season.
What’s in the Kit

Everything You Need for Up to 3 Custom Runs
- 50 ft (15 m) of green SPT-1 wire – 18 AWG, 2 stranded copper conductors, PVC jacket
- 3 male vampire plugs (2-prong polarized)
- 3 female vampire plugs (2-prong polarized)
- 1 green hook-and-loop storage strap
- Works with any standard SPT-1 wire and SPT-1 plugs, so you can expand later
Why It Beats a Pile of Extension Cords
Cut Exactly to Length
Measure the roofline, the tree, the fence – then cut. No 25-foot cord for a 9-foot gap, no coils of slack to hide.
Tool-Free Vampire Plugs
Open the plug, lay the wire in the channel, snap it shut. The pins pierce the insulation and make contact – done in about 10 seconds.
Green Disappears in the Decor
Blends into trees, garland, shrubs and lawns so people see the lights, not the wiring.
Built for Outdoors
Flame-retardant industrial PVC jacket resists water, wind and cold. Rated for up to 300 V. Indoor or outdoor.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is SPT-1 wire, and how is it different from SPT-2?
SPT-1 is the thin, flat two-conductor “zip cord” used on most Christmas lights and lamps. SPT-2 has a thicker jacket and is rated for slightly higher loads. Plugs are not interchangeable between the two – this kit’s plugs fit SPT-1 wire only.
How many lights can I run on one length?
It depends on the wattage of your light strings and the plug rating. As a rule, keep each run well under the plug’s marked limit and follow the maximum-connected-strings guidance printed on your lights. LED strings draw very little, so most LED displays are comfortably within range.
Do I need to strip the wire?
No. Vampire plugs have internal pins that pierce the insulation when you snap the cover closed. Just cut the wire square and seat it in the plug.
Can I make more than 3 runs?
The kit includes 3 male and 3 female plugs – enough for 3 complete extension cords, or 6 one-ended leads. Extra SPT-1 vampire plugs from any brand will work with this wire if you need more.
Is it OK to leave outside all season?
Yes – the PVC jacket is weather resistant and the green color is UV-stable for seasonal use. Keep the plug connections off the ground, ideally wrapped or inside a weatherproof cord cover, and plug into a GFCI outlet.
Which side of the wire is neutral?
One conductor has a ribbed or ridged edge on the insulation – that’s the identified (neutral) conductor. Align it with the wider blade side of the polarized plug.
Can I reuse the plugs?
Vampire plugs are designed for a single installation. Once the pins have pierced a wire, moving them to a new spot can leave a loose connection. Plan your cuts, then snap them on.
